Objectives
- to coordinate/promote hospice care in Singapore - to provide/coordinate training in hospice care - to undertake such activities which are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects including - to act as the representative body for hospice are in Singapore, nationally and internationally - to promote public awareness of hospices in Singapore

Programs/Activities
For current year: Continue the hospice awareness programme through placing advertorials in the newspapers, updating and improving the website and producing brochures on hospice and palliative care. Organise hospice awareness events from 6 Oct 07 on World Hospice & Palliative Care Day. Throughout the year training courses will be organised for doctors, volunteers, and NUS medical students. For last year: Organised a one-year project on hospice awareness publicity events to raise awareness of hospice services and educate the public about hospice care through the support of Lien Foundation. Straits Times published a series of articles on hospice and palliative care throughout the year. The main events took place from 7 Oct 06 which was designated World Hospice & Palliative Care Day. Other events include a touring Photo Exhibition, public forums, talks, seminars, an Art Exhibition. Throughout the year training courses were organised for doctors, volunteers, and NUS medical students. A Biennial Scientific Meeting on palliative medicine was held in Mar 06.
