Face, or better known as “面子” in Mandarin, refers to one’s pride and dignity. It is highly regarded in the Asian culture.
Both the concept of “Face” and “Self” are at the core of a person’s being. Pride, self-esteem and dignity are values which matter a lot to every individual, even patients approaching the end-of-life. This talk will explore how these concepts are relevant and expressed throughout the journey of patients with life-limiting illnesses.
