Margaret, age 59, has demonstrated resilience in being a caregiver to many of her loved ones suffering from cancer over the years. She was a caregiver to her father who had pancreatic cancer in 1991. She was also a caregiver to her mother who passed away from Lymphoma in 2015. Being a caregiver to her husband for 17 months back in 2008 was a challenging experience for her, as he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and had to undergo chemotherapy and rely on stoma bags before he passed on. Currently, she is a caregiver to her sister, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year. Margaret counts on spiritual support and support from professionals as her source of strength and felt that her experiences have helped her to be more aware of resources and to be wiser in dealing with challenges.

Margaret shares her resilience in caring for her loved ones, suffering from cancer – father, mother, husband and now sister. She also feels that her experiences have helped her to be more aware of the resources available and wiser in dealing with challenges.
